Building Resilient Practitioners
Resilience is increasingly recognised as an important factor in the workplace. The turbulent challenges and demands can test the resolve of individuals and organisations. Therefore, resilience is paramount to bounce back, survive and enhance performance.

This training is designed to give guidance to practitioners on developing resilience at both an individual and organisational level and improving physical and psychological wellbeing, which will aid service delivery.
It is suitable for anyone who wishes to further develop their resilience and develop new strategies and coping skills to enhance their mental wellbeing.

This practical and experiential training aims to:
- Explore what may impact and influence the emotional health of practitioners and those they care for
- Using a trauma informed approach to help understand symptoms and acknowledge the role trauma may play in an individual's life- including service staff.
- Increase knowledge and understanding of the psychological and physical response to work pressures and demands
- Identify signs and symptoms of stress and compassion fatigue
- Consider the impact of a strengths-based approach to developing individual and organisational resilience
- Consider the impact of supporting clients who have experienced traumatic events and how this can affect the practitioner
- Identify and develop strategies to help build personal resilience, manage stress and maintain a work/life balance
- Explore the cycle of change and develop skills to maintain achievable and positive changes for healthier lifestyles
- To consider ways to help others make changes through exploring barriers to change, setting achievable goals and exploring previous experiences

This training is delivered across two, half day training sessions.
These are split over a month to enhance development of theory into practice. The range of teaching styles used, to aid learning, include individual and group based activities along with video clips, an introduction to mindfulness and individual goal setting.
